Architecture for the WTP Transition
The introduction of the new pension system (WTP) requires agile IT systems, clear governance and a strong architecture function. MN was facing a complex transition impacting dozens of teams, processes and projects simultaneously. Nolemmings brought direction and coherence to this transformation and laid down a future-proof architecture that supports the WTP transition.
Challenge
The introduction of the new pension system (WTP) demanded flexible IT systems, clear governance and a strong architecture function. The organization was facing a complex transformation that touched dozens of teams, processes and projects at the same time. Without clear architectural frameworks and consistent decision-making, there was a real risk of fragmentation, inconsistency and delays. Nolemmings was brought in to provide direction, create coherence and design a future-proof architecture that supports the WTP transition.
Approach
Nolemmings served as lead architect throughout the engagement. We developed an enterprise architecture that provides both strategic guidance and is practically applicable for agile teams. We professionalized the architecture function by setting up a Design Authority Board and aligning responsibilities, processes and decision-making across business, IT and leadership stakeholders. Our approach ensured shared ownership, clarity and faster, more confident decisions.
Outcome
The organization now has a future-ready cloud and data architecture, a shared governance model and a professionalized architecture function. Teams are better equipped to make informed design choices and decisions, and the organization steers more consistently on coherence and quality. The foundation for the WTP transition is now solid and the organization can continue to evolve it independently.
